I like the sun too much
It’s April. I have sun burnt arms already and the freckles are coming on nicely.
My skin’s gotta hate me.

Stand by Me ~ 1986
one of the few films I’d be certain to confidently put in my top ten list.

The other day was a short shorts day.
TW and I walked up to Beachy Head instead of cycling up there due to my heart slightly working overtime for the past few days dealing with less blood to use. Feeling better now though, having ridden a bit today.
It was a beautiful day and really windy which meant although it was short shorts weather I still had goose bumps about 50% of the time.
Being up there was pretty interesting. My legs got massive wobbles just being in the edge, as always. But seeing smashed up car parts or vehicles getting swallowed by bushes growing was more significant than the usual ‘there’s a big drop, I need to sit down’. Knowing the general stats too.
It’s an incredible place visually.
I could have dozed up there all day. TW looked preposterously content napping on a blanket on the grass too.
Patrick. One of the few positives to my grandad’s Alzheimers is that he is completely in awe of “the wonders of nature”. He talks endlessly about his amazement that trees stay up with just their roots holding them straight and almost fell over when a brave squirrel grabbed and nuzzled my hand in the park earlier.
I’m so glad TW exists.
